Obituary of Gina Mautone
June 30, 1942 – Fossalto, Campobasso, Italy
September 8, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta
Gina Mautone (nee Ciarmela) of Calgary, AB passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the age of 79 years.
Gina was born in Fossalto (Campobasso), Italy in 1942 and immigrated to Canada in 1962. In 1966 she married the love of her life, Salvatore, to who she was married to for 51 years before his passing in 2017. She was a very hard worker and worked most of her life as a seamstress making curtains for various Draperies as well as privately.
Gina was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family’s needs before her own. Gina and Salvatore would work hard to raise a family but would also take the time to take family vacations to various destinations. Gina had many friends but her closest was her sister Iolanda, who she shared a bond with like no other. She was also blessed with one granddaughter Jenna, who she loved with all her heart.
Gina is survived by her children, Pasquale and Antonio (Jhernelyn); and beloved granddaughter Jenna. She is also survived by her sister Teresa of Toronto, Iolanda (Ernesto) of Calgary and brother Elvio, and brother-in-law Carmine of Italy. She was predeceased by husband Salvatore, brother Francesco (Pasqualina), sister Rosa, brother-in-law Domenico and sister-in-law Viola.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Parish (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
