Condolences
I feel George McLeod warrants more than simple
condolences. George was a friend and a wonderful roll
model as a geologist, as a business man, and as a caring human being. May he rest at peace.
My heartfelt condolences to Mrs. McLeod, and all you children, big and little. In the 60’s, George McLeod was my boss at Samedan. I know what a fine person he was and remember him very fondly. My husband and I were the benefactors of one of his anonymous gifts – a wash bench that appeared on our porch one Christmas Eve. He loved, enjoyed and was so proud of all of you, and took great delight in recounting childhood incidents that occurred.
His legacy as a geologist, an Ore Ganguer, and a thoughtful philanthropist will last a very long time. As a “younger” OG Alumni Member and being a 45+ YR oil-patcher, I had the pleasure to meet George a couple times on a social basis. Sounds like I missed out not having encountered his savvy business perspectives.
My condolences to his extensive family.
Hello dear family – I want to say how much I enjoyed speaking with George every time I saw him walking around the circle of town homes in Varsity Estates when I was walking there with my dad Jim Kirker. He was always kind and seemed a true a gentleman. I loved the sparkle in his eyes and I sense he will be truly deeply missed. What a treasure of a man.
Great neighbor, great friend, great guy. Will miss our chats !
Lach,
I just received the news about George. Karen and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family. I finer man I have never met. In both business and socially George was such a stand-up guy. It was a pleasure to have known him and to have worked with him. Our dads are now up there somewhere chipping away at the nearest outcrop with their rock hammers.
To Lachlan and the rest of the Family.
Cheryl and I are deeply saddened of your loss. Y’all are in our thoughts and prayers my friend.

To the entire McLeod family. It was great sadness that Joe and I learned of George’s passing. Joe and i will always be indebted to him for having the confidence in Joe to allow us to begin a lifelong career with Samedan/ Noble.
Lach and Meredith, this is such sad news. I have wondered about your father many times over the past years. He was always so very kind to me, I guess everyone. My deepest condolences.
Dear Lachlan,
