Obituary of Sheryl Marvina Rollinmud

March 26, 1979 – Rocky Mountain House, Alberta
September 9, 2021 – Morley, Alberta

We are deeply saddened to announce that Tweet, our loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, common-law wife, cousin, niece, friend, granddaughter, and daughter-in-law, took her journey home to be by our Creator’s side in the Spirit World on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the age of 42.

Tweet really loved, cared for, and cherished all seven of her children, and had a kind, loving, humble personality. She touched everyone’s heart she met. She would brighten a room with her smile, and fill the room with joyful laughter. Tweet was known to give out a helping hand when needed to her friends, family, and anyone she met.

Tweet was born in Rocky Mountain House and grew up on both Morley and Big Horn Reserves. She received her education at Morley Community School.

In her youth she enjoyed dancing fancy shawl, and taking part in local pow wows. She worked as a cashier at Big Horn Store, and as a waitress at Chief Chiniki Restaurant. She had also taken parts as an extra in movies filmed in Morley.

Tweet found her passion being a stay-at-home mother and common-law wife. She honoured her traditional beliefs and had hobbies in beading, dry meat making, bannocks, painting and calligraphy, writing, and collecting anything with Tigers.

Sheryl (Tweet) leaves behind to mourn her children, JoDee, Jerome Jr. Manny, J’lyn, Cruz, Blake, and Arian; siblings, Dallas, Francine, and Blossom Rollinmud, Tyson (Kara) A., Lance (Ellis) Abraham, Crystal (Andrew) Kaquitts, Tracey (Jake) Abraham, Wacey (Violet) Abraham; her father Marvin (Eleanor) Abraham; common-law husband Jerome Baptiste; mother-in-law Sandra Baptiste; paternal grandmother Georgie Poucette; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews on both maternal and paternal sides, and in-laws; and adopted mother Roxanne Milan. She is also survived by extended families from Rollinmud, Abraham, Labelle, Rider, Crawler, Rabbit, Young, Kaquitts, Baptiste, House, Wesley, and Poucette.

Sheryl was predeceased by her mother Ralphalia Rollinmud, brothers, Callian and Carnell Rollinmud; sister Shalina Rollinmud; grandparents, Stanley and Clara Rollinmud; maternal grandfather Morgan Abraham; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins on both sides; adopted father Frank Buffalocalf.
