Obituary of Gregorina Mungo nee Corasiniti

Gregorina Mungo beloved wife of Gregorio Mungo of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 68 years.

Gregorina was born in Staletti, Italy on April 19, 1953. She moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1964. Gregorina married Gregorio on September 28. 1974. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she is particularly proud of. Gregorina’s most memorable vacations were the trips to Italy, Mexico and Las Vegas. She will be most remembered for her beautiful smile and her dedication to her family and faith.

Besides her loving husband, Gregorina is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Giovanna and Giovanni Loria; two grandchildren, Angelica and Alessandro. Gregorina was predeceased by her parents, Teresa Amoruso and Antonio Corasiniti.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

A Private Funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (404 Northmount Pl NW, Calgary, T2K 3P9). Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs.  Mungo’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
