Condolences
When I'm with a full family smiling
Hear my jokes years after I told them
See my life on a shelf
Photo albums for wealth
I'll know false teeth can be golden
I'll know why his smile always shone
And although I know he is gone
I'll carry on showing
cause I'll carry on knowing
Somewhere he is cheering me on
Lots of love to my Opa and all those who remember him.
Kaeden
Dear Ieta, Paul and Kevin,
My deepest sympathy to all of you at this sad time. We go back many years to the times the boys were in my Grade two classes at St. Matthew School and Ieta was looking after Colleen and Patrick when they were so young. I'm sending prayers and hugs for you. Carol Sproul
My Opa was truly one of the greats. My happiest memories growing up always include him and my Oma. I cherish my memories of going camping in the trailer in Radium every summer and playing cards at 7 in the morning half asleep. My Opa and Oma showed me what a healthy and beautiful relationship can be. The best tip for a long, happy relationship from Opa: "Always say yes dear". I will never forget my Opa's dictionary of words-yacuzzi, fritz, yak and more. Opa was a jokester and always told me the Dutch word potverdomme means "I like peanut butter and jelly". I will forever be grateful that my Opa was able to meet my daughter June, their photos together are memories I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Opa, you will always hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget you and your infectious smile. Thank you for everything you have done for me and taught me over my life. You are my favourite Opa and the best one out there. I will miss you so much. Love you forever.
Ali
