It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our deeply loved son, brother, uncle, nephew, partner, and friend Michael Andrew Crane. Michael was called home to be with his Creator on September 21, 2021 in Vancouver, BC, at the age of 28 years old.

Michael was born and raised in Treaty 7 Territory and comes from the Tsuut’ina and Siksika Nations but called Bragg Creek home where he grew up with his dad and best friend Marvin Big Plume. Michael was talented at everything he tried but had a deep love and passion for skateboarding which earned him the name “Skate Mike”, no matter where Michael was in life, he always had his skateboard with him. Michael graduated from the Tsuut’ina Jr./Sr. High School in 2011 and pursued training and work in different areas like carpentry and culinary arts in the years after. Michael was always brave, crazy, adventurous and humble, and lived life to the fullest. He worked many jobs and lived in many different places throughout his life and eventually found a home in Vancouver where he could skateboard all year round. Michael was an amazing son, brother and friend and leaves behind many amazing and crazy memories with all his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
