Obituary of Maria Petrollini
October 12, 1932 - Sessano, Del Molise Provincia Isernia, Italy

Maria Petrollini, beloved wife of Giovanni Petrollini, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the age of 88 years.
Maria was born in Sessano, Del Molise Provincia Isernia, Italy on October 12, 1932. She married her beloved husband, Giovanni Petrollini on December 20, 1953. Her proudest achievement was immigrating to Canada with her family in 1959 to build a better life for all and shortly after, sponsoring her brothers and sisters to join her in Canada. Maria had a passion for cooking and gardening. She loved entertaining family and friends and gatherings. Her favorite saying was “Mangia, Mangia”.
Besides her loving husband Giovanni, Maria is survived by her sons, Robert Petrollini of Calgary, AB and Mario Petrollini of Airdrie, AB; daughters-in-law, Wanda Hallborg of Airdrie, AB and Sirikan Nokkaew (Kaew) of Thailand; her brother Mike Ciccaglione of Calgary, AB, sisters-in-law, Lucy Ciccaglione, Ida Petrollini and Christina Ciccaglione all of Calgary, AB; her sister, Antoinette Dippolito of Calgary, AB, her brothers-in-law, Domenico Petrollini of Edmonton, AB and Carmine Valerio of Calgary, AB. Maria will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces, Judy Ciccaglione, Julia (David) Ciccaglione, and Silvana (Jeff) Arthur, all of Calgary, AB, Donna Lee (Ed) May, Rita Petrollini of Edmonton, AB and Adriana Iafrancesco of Italy; her nephews, Michael Ciccaglione, John Dippolito, and Joe Dippolito, all of Calgary, AB, Donald Petrollini, Jimmy Petrollini of Edmonton, AB, Alex Petrollini of U.S.A, Michael Petrollini, Thomas Valerio and John Ciccaglione, all of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous cousins that reside in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, U.S.A and Italy.
Maria was predeceased by her parents, Giovanni and Julia Ciccaglione; brother Carmen Ciccaglione, brothers-in-law, Nicola Petrollini and Carmen Dippolito, sisters-in-law Amelia Valerio, Eleanor Petrollini and Lucy Iafrancesco, and nephew Danny Iafrancesco.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church (5504 20 St SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum.
