TYLER, Norma Joan (nee Fletcher)

October 22, 1942 – Montreal, Quebec

September 26, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

 

Norma Joan Tyler, beloved wife of Clifford Tyler of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the age of 78 years.

 

Norma was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec and moved with her husband Cliff and children to Edmonton, Alberta in 1976, eventually relocating to the Calgary area.  She and Cliff spent many enjoyable years at their Chestermere lakefront home, before moving to Airdrie three years ago. Above all else Norma treasured her home and family.

 

Norma is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Cliff; her daughter, Lori (Paul); son, Tim (Marina), and her grandchildren whom she adored and was so proud of, Mitchell (Vanessa), Jocelyne, Madison, Brodie and Caden.  She is also survived by her little shadow Bella. Norma is also survived by her brother, Howard (Donna); sisters, Linda (Rick) and Joanne (Terry; several nieces and nephews, all who will miss her dearly.

 

Norma was predeceased by her mother and father, George and Florence Fletcher and her in-laws, Fred & Violet Tyler.

 

A small celebration of life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Airdrie, 300 Tower lane Drive) on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Those attending will be asked to confirm one of the following, (A) COVID vaccination (date requested), OR (B) a negative COVID test (within 72 hours), OR (C) Medical exemption AND valid government identification (with name & date of birth) OR (D) Under 12 years of age. The family requests if anyone so wishes, that donations in Norma's memory be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. A tree will be planted in Norma’s memory in the Sandy Beach Memorial garden in Calgary.
