Condolences
My heart is sad for your loss. I am sad too. I met Marjorie when I started to attend Cowansville High for grade 9. I remember Marjorie as a beautiful young girl with a twinkle in her eyes and a smile that lit up a room. When Marjorie entered a room she brought energy and joy. One of Marjorie’s passions was basketball, and she was a good player! Marjorie was kind to everyone and very popular. Had I known Marjorie lived in Calgary we would have connected. My husband & I moved to Edmonton /Sherwood Park, 1971. I very much appreciated the celebration service, and was happy to see her lovely smile again. It gave me great pleasure to see her family…..to see Don and their 2 beautiful daughters Jennifer and Joanne, and the grandchildren. My heart is with you all as your grieve. Take your time as grieving and tears are part of the healing process. Hugs “my friends”…my maiden name was Darby. It was good for me to see your pictures. She was obviously very happy and content with her life. Well done
My heartfelt sympathy to Don and family. Marjorie was always a bright light Prayers to you in your loss
Although I did not see much of my great-aunt Marjorie throughout my childhood, I held fond memories of my interactions with her. As a little girl I recall her gift to me, a big pink bunny that I cherished for the entirety of my childhood and still have to this day. Upon hearing the sad news of great-aunt Marjorie's passing I remembered that bunny and how important it was to me. My condolences to the rest of the family and may she rest in peace.
Your great-niece,
Grace
To Don, Jennifer, Joanne and family,
We are so sorry for your great loss and hope you find comfort in all the loving memories you have of your wife, mother (and-in-law), and grandmother -- dearest Marjorie. She would want us to live on, celebrating her life, as she lived every day with purpose and joy. I know you all will miss her infinitely -- "You know someone is very special to you, when days just don't seem right without them."
Marjorie, you were an angel here on earth, now one in heaven...we are all so gratefully blessed to have known you. While missing you, your spirit will continue to live within us. You are a true inspiration and may you now rest in peace in love and in light.
Jollean, James and Derrick
Many years have passed since Marjorie and I were young kids growing up in East Farnham. I remember Marjorie fondly as a pretty young girl, with a kind heart and a great sense of humour. The latter she no doubt got from living with her older twin brothers, Donald and Douglas, who are both known for playing practical jokes. My condolences to Don and family. Gary Carter
I remember Aunt Marjorie for her smile, her energy, and her sense of humor. She had a smile that brightened the room and that mischievous twinkle in her eye.
Dear Uncle Don, Jennifer, Joanne and family, I have such great memories of visiting and staying with you all in Cowansville when I was young. Aunt Marj driving us around in her bright yellow sportscar is still a vivid memory. I will always remember her great smile and laugh and love for fun (mischief) and life. She would be glad we are all together celebrating her amazing life. Wishing you well. Our condolences. Jeff, Kathy, Hannah, Mitchell and Owen.
