Obituary of Joy Lunn

July 16, 1937 – Lloydminster, Saskatchewan
September 30, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Joyce (Joy) Lunn (nee Leonard) passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the age of 84.

Joy was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, and after moving to Calgary she met Chalmers.  They married on June 17, 1961 and were together for over 50 years until Chalmers’ passing in 2011.  After retiring from Wallace & Tiernan in 1992, she and Chalmers travelled extensively, particularly to Maui, Hawaii one of their favourite destinations. Joy also enjoyed luncheons with friends at the Legion and went on to make new acquaintances during her years at the Rocky Ridge Retirement Community.

Joy is survived by her son Jim, daughter Barbara (Brent Polinkas), and adored grandchildren, Lauren and Kevin. Spending time with Lauren and Kevin and hearing what they “were up to” always brought a great deal of happiness to Joy.
