Condolences
Don, Aline was one of the kindest and gentlest people I have ever met. We are so sorry for your loss and we are thankful that our paths crossed and for the time we shared together. Mass will be said for Aline at St. Francis de Sales church here in Smiths Falls on Wednesday October 27th. Love and prayers, Karen and Mike.
I am so sorry to hear of Aline’s passing, I remember her beautiful smile and gentle disposition! A kind and gentle cousin who warmed my heart whenever I saw her! I’m sure it will feel the same to me whenever I think of her in the future, never forgotten!
My deepest condolences to all of the family! Gisele
I was so very sorry to hear of Aline’s passing. I will always remember our visits with her and your family here in Winnipeg and Calgary. Our family will miss the updates she used to give us and her lovely letters. She shared her birthday with my mother, she was her godchild and it’s no wonder they had a close relationship. Aline was always caring, thoughtful and her family was her world. Heaven has another angel looking over you.

Dear Don and families,
My sincere condolences on your great loss. Aline was such a kind and caring person. She looked after my Dad after his heart surgery and was such a compassionate person. Dad was very fond of her and of course our family appreciated her wonderful care. She will be with you always.

What a wonderful writeup about Aline. Aline was my 'big city' cousin. When she and her parents visited Ponteix, she and I would sit and draw. She was always so supportive and encouraging. The best word to describe Aline is KIND. She really was the person who made sure everyone else had what they needed. I loved listening to the excitement in her voice as she described the travelling she and Don did. I'm so glad that she was able to do much of what she loved to do. We will miss Aline at the family reunions.
Our sincerest condolences, Love Johanne and Ted Yakula, St Albert
Imagine knowing someone special like Aline for nearly 50 years! In 1975 Aline and I were pregnant with our first children. We would get together and work on sewing a hand quilt first for Monique and then Jonathan, our soon to be babies. Over many cups of tea, and sore fingers we created 2 beautiful baby quilts. The in 1979, year of the child, both Lorranie and Leah came along. So many wonderful picnics, over night visiting in Cranbrook and Pincher Creek. Always great laughter. Don and Jack were always up to something. Eventually Alan joined the Roberts clan...such a lovely young man.
I will miss my friend Aline but hope she is at peace and sitting with my beloved Jack in heaven having a few more laughs and enjoying one of Aline wonderful picnics. Much lasting love to Don, Monique, Lorraine and Alan and your families. From the Ormson family, Linda, Jonathan and Leah Best.
I am so very sad to hear of Aline’s passing. She was so faithful to her auntie Rose, our mother, with visits, letters and photos, and that meant so much to mum. Aline was such a beautiful person, I am grateful for her support, her wisdom and her humour – I love hearing about the pranks! I know she is close to you now. My deepest sympathy in your loss. Dear Don,
Our sincere condolences to you, Lorraine, Monique, Alan, and the family.
Aline was a remarkable person who has touched so many lives in meaningful ways. We were immediately charmed by her generosity and abundant positivity.
There were quite a few ‘firsts’ when we came to Calgary, from kayaking on the lake to biking on park trails. We were very fortunate to have Aline there for us and to share those times and fun with us so generously. And it was clear from our very first meeting how much Aline loved being a Mom. And how warm and caring she was towards all who were welcomed in your home. And she must have loved being a grandmother even more.
There is some measure of comfort in knowing that Aline was always - and still is - surrounded by your love.
Our hearts are saddened by your loss.
Sincerely,
Arman & Mariana

To Don and family, our condolences for the loss of Aline
Most of my memories of her is through my mom, her aunty Toots and also her godmother, of cards received, phone calls made and visits from Aline. For me, it was very special for our family to have her and Don attend our mom's funeral in January 2016, with the opportunity to share her stories of mom with us. Hugs from us to you and heaven has a very special angel watching over you.

Aline was a very special cousin to me. She was kind, gentle and the best visitor I’ve ever had the pleasure to share a coffee or drink with. As the only member of my family in Calgary she always called me when something important occurred like a wedding, funeral, birth of a child. I loved our conversations and the times we would meet. I am so sad she is gone. I extend my condolences to Don and all family members from all my brothers and sisters.

Dear Lorraine, Monique, Alan, Mr. Roberts & Family,
Mrs. Roberts was such a beautiful person inside and out. Her love, sense of humor and kindness shines through all of you. I have such wonderful memories growing up with your mom/wife, all of the sleepover nights as kids, sports games, drama productions-she was always there for all of us and always cared about me and my family-I will forever be grateful for that. I am so sorry for your loss, she touched so many lives and was loved by so many. She will be deeply missed.
Love,
Sharlene, Steve, Ella & Ava
The first time I met Aline was at the Park City annual get together. I was a little apprehensive as didn’t know anyone, but really needn’t have worried as Aline immediately took me under her wing and it wasn’t long before I was part of the gang. She was so kind and caring and when she talked to you, you could feel her warmth.
We visited Don and Aline at their house on the lake and if was one of the best times ever. Memories of our mountain walk adventure in a blizzard, the notorious hot tub, delicious food, unbelievably comfortable beds and all the laughter and fun we had, remain so clear in my mind.
We were visited in England by Don and Aline on one of their travels. This happened to be just after an accident I had had and Aline immediately realised there was something more seriously wrong with me and it was because of her that we visited a specialist who diagnosed a collapsed lung.
I’m so incredibly sad that I won’t get to meet her again but am blessed to have known her . She was a very special person.
All our love to Don and family
Be comforted in the knowledge that she will be watching out for you, guiding you and wrapping you all, in one of her enveloping hugs.
All our love

Dear Lorraine and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time. Your mom was such a kind and gentle person. Her life was full of so much love for her family and friends. May you find peace in knowing she is no longer suffering.
