Condolences
My sincere condolences to Dianne, Robin and family. Bryan was one of the most thoughtful and caring persons I have ever known. He gave me my first real job at Intera (Intermap) in the early 1990's and fostered my interest in radar remote sensing of sea ice. Fast forward 25 years and Bryan volunteered his expertise and time to my Ph.D. thesis exam students at the University of Calgary on numerous occasions. Bryan will be deeply missed by anyone who knew him.
Bryan was one of the first people I met in the physics department at U of C when I came to Canada in 1962 and we have been friends ever since. The boyz have enjoyed many a beer over lunch where we solved the world's problems. Bryan was our expert on global warming and nuclear power, things he started to study after he retired from a brilliant career in cosmic rays, remote sensing, and geomatics. My partner, Joanne, and I also enjoyed many wonderful times with Bryan and Diane and their friends. He will be missed by his family and friends. He was a scholar and a gentleman. Rest in peace Bryan. My name is Christina Larkin, daughter of Bryan's recently connected half-sister Karen Larkin. I only recently became aware of my "Uncle Bryan" and while I have exchanged some emails with his daughter Larissa, I am very sorry that I did not have the opportunity to really get to know him and his family. My GiGi (grandmother) was his biological mother and as I read his obituary, I could see traits that he definitely shared with her: being an optimist and his love of learning, dogs, and scotch which was always her drink of choice. I wish to send my most heartfelt condolences to the entire family.
My name is Albert Kinloch .Was in high school with him at Mount royal College from 1955 to 1958.I remember him as one of the brightest students in the class, good at sports and a wonderful person. He obviously lead a very successful life and will be missed by family and friends Albert
My condolences to Diane and Family. It has been a while but thoroughly enjoyed knowing Bryan and making music in the basement. A loss for us all.

Bryan and I were great friends at Terrestrial and I will sincerely miss the monthly private conversations we started having earlier this year. Bryan made a great contribution to Terrestrial and was always such a fine gentleman and team player in his working relationships.

My condolences to Diane, David, Larissa, Robin and all the grandkids. Bryan was so proud of all of you. Bryan always had great stories but I loved his jokes the best, particularly around the camp fire at the lake after a fun day at the jazz festival. We miss you, our lives were enriched by having you share in it. Rest In Peace
Bryan was a wonderful story teller. More than once he tried to explain the Black Hole and String Theory while we were hiking. Even the dumbed down version was way over my head. However, it did make the hike shorter.
He will be missed as a musician (especially jamming to "All of Me" and Watermelon Man") and as a bridge partner.
Our sincere condolences to Diane and all the children and grandchildren.

The best man, at my wedding and in my life. A huge loss for me, and I'm sure for Diane and his children and grandchildren. Much love and condolences to you all. Cam
Sincere condolences to Diane, Larissa, David, Robin and families.
Rest In Peace, my dear brother in law. We had so many fun visits, skiing in the Rockies, swimming in Ontario, hearing your stories. Best of all, was to see all the love you and Di had together. I always loved your great smile. You will be sorely missed.
