Condolences
To the Wong family. My sincerest condolences. I was a student at Brandon College from 1956 onward and I first came to know your mother as the beautiful wife of my Physics professor and then much later I had the good fortune to have her join me for a couple of Chinese meals when I was doing some work in Brandon. She exemplified to me a person who wanted to be a key player in life. She pursued a broad range of activities and was a strong proponent of learning. In fact she tried to teach me some Mandarin. I know you will be forever enriched as you remember her.
To the Wong families - Our parents (Jim and Isabel Gilmour) were very good friends with your parents back in the 80's. They square danced together and had some wonderful times travelling to the jamborees. Your Mother was a lovely lady, our Mother cherished their friendship and they remained in touch with each other until Mum died in 2007. We are offering our condolences to you all and know you will have many happy memories of both your parents. Sincerely Carol Anne and George Trowell, Joan and Eldon Montgomery and Lynne and Doug Bailey.
Brian and family:
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your dear mother. I always admired her contributions she made to the academic world. And I'm forever grateful for the education she gave me about the world of betas. I was always impressed by her collection in a variety of containers displayed in the basement of your family home.. Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss.

Dear Wong family members.................my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your dear Helen. I so admired her............she was a wonderful role model for all who knew her. I got to know her best when I took over the Crafts Festival at Brandon University in the 70's after she and Gwen had organized it for 2 years. Over the years we had many conversations that I remember well...........she was such a lovely person in every way. And I remember her coming to my spinning class............only one of the many talents she shared with others. What a rich life she had. She leaves a legacy of gratitude for all who were blessed to know her. I cherish her memory. May your memories of her bring you comfort.
