Condolences
Ernie Davis, dear brother-in-law and friend. He has left a legacy of wisdom, wit and loving concern to his family. Having spent many holidays with Ernie and Thora, there are a plethora of jokes and pranks that bring back memories of fun trips and lots of laughter. That was Ernie's way; to make sure people were happy and having a good time.
He never lost his love of the daily newspaper, reading it on and off throughout the day and often taking it to bed with him.
man of many talents; accountant, master woodworker and stained glass artist, I will miss him dearly but always cherish the wonderful memories we shared.
Rest in peace dear friend; I have been priviledged to have known and loved you these many years.
Mary
As a child of one of his partners, I'll always cherish the annual Christmas visits between our families, it was a tradition until the partners started to reach retirement age and families grew up. The best story out of those visits was an example of Unca Davis's patience and understanding as I, at the age of 4, had nailed a number of pieces of scrap wood to the floor of his house. He didn't get angry or upset, he laughed heartily.
Mine and my family's deepest condolences to my "cousins" and their families. Unca Davis will be greatly missed by many from his office family. May he rest piece and may God watch over you all during this time of sadness.
Ernie was a fellow CA and a fellow insolvency professional. In fact he was an outstanding professional and really a pioneer in the insolvency business in Calgary. He was also a fine gentleman, respected greatly by all who had the good fortune to meet him or work with him.
My sincere sympathy to all of Ernie's family.
