Obituary of John Edward Sheldon

John Edward Sheldon of  Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the age of 93 years.

John was born in Galt, Ontario, Canada on January 14, 1928. He moved to Calgary in 1960. John had a passion for hiking in the mountains, hunting, and making wine. He will be most remembered for his sense of humour

John is survived by his two daughters, Carol Wagner and Jeanne Sheldon; son-in-law Richard Wagner, his three grandsons, Jonathan Sheldon (Debbie), Christopher Sheldon (Rachelle), and Kyle Wagner; and by his great-grandchildren, Dylan Hasz, Jesseca Sheldon, Theodore Sheldon, and Benjamin Sheldon. John was predeceased by his parents and sister.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.  Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Those attending will be asked to confirm one of the following, (A) COVID vaccination (date requested), OR (B) a negative COVID test (within 72 hours), OR (C) Medical exemption AND valid government identification (with name & date of birth) OR (D) Under 12 years of age. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Sheldon service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. Please be advised that the time for the live-stream of the funeral service has changed from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
