Iain Fyfe of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the age of 32 years. He was the son of Glen Fyfe and Jan Gibson.

Iain was born in Edmonton, AB, on October 14, 1989. He spent his formative years in British Columbia before returning to his home province of Alberta. Iain was an avid sailor and achieved Gold status as an accomplished mariner. Iain loved skiing and snowboarding and spent many hours gliding through snowy powdery trails when he was not sailing. As an adult, Iain wrote and performed his own spoken word, poems and prose and he was also a hip-hop artist performing in numerous venues across Canada. Iain was an advocate for those less fortunate and he worked on causes of injustice. He viewed the world through the lense of fairness, equality and justice. He enjoyed reading and was well informed on political issues.

Iain was loved by everyone who knew him, and he will be missed by his parents, his grandmother, his godparent, his aunts, his uncles, his great-aunt, and his cousins, as well as the entire Gibson & Fyfe clan.
