Obituary of Gary Beagle

Gary Beagle beloved husband of  Barbara Beagle (nee Gibson) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the age of 76 years.

Gary was born in Calgary, and grew up on the family farm near Herronton, and later near Mossleigh. He went on to UBC where he received his MBA. Upon completion Gary returned to Calgary where he joined Shell Canada, he taught nights at the U of C,  and later worked at Canadian Occidental Petroleum. Gary's passions were hockey, golf, curling, skiing, his family, and hard-work. Gary was particularly proud of his three sons. He was a member of Silver Springs Golf and Country Club, and the Calgary Curling Club. Gary also was the chairman at F.E.I, and president of the Varsity Community Association. Gary will be most remembered for his huge heart.

Besides his loving wife, Gary is survived by his sons, Stephen, Ryan, and Curtis (Jillian); grandchildren, Elizabeth and Clara; his nephews, Robert and Joshua; and niece Janice. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Stuart and Bernice Beagle; brother Robert Beagle, and sister Shirley Beagle.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Friday, November, 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Those attending will be asked to confirm one of the following, (A) COVID vaccination (date requested), OR (B) a negative COVID test (within 72 hours), OR (C) Medical exemption AND valid government identification (with name & date of birth) OR (D) Under 12 years of age.
