Brian Prosser, beloved husband of Ann Prosser (nee Williams), of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the age of 84 years.

Brian was born in Chertsey, Surrey, England. He attended grammar school in Egham, and spent a great deal of time with his beloved maternal grandparents; Jessie (Nan) and George (Pop) Foster. In his teens, Brian belonged to the local cycling club and logged many miles throughout the south of England.

Brian     immigrated to Toronto, Ontario in 1956. He returned home to England for his 21st birthday where he reconnected with his future wife. Brian and Ann were married in 1959 in Addlestone, Surrey, England at St Paul’s Church and soon after started their life together in Canada. They spent 28 years in Toronto, before moving to Calgary in 1984.

Brian was a member of King George Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 59 – Calgary and York Masonic Lodge AF & AM No.156 – Toronto, where he made many lifelong friends. Brian enjoyed home improvement projects and, in his retirement, started the Old Farts Construction Company, with his good friend Ken Turner. Brian was an avid reader of historical works and fictional mysteries and his most memorable vacation was when he and Ann travelled to visit their friends Al and Shirley Jones in South Africa in 2003.

Brian will be most remembered for his keen wit, dry sense of humour, and fondness for a glass of Scotch and a good story.

Besides his loving wife Ann, Brian is survived by his son Paul Prosser and daughter in-law Patricia Prosser (nee West) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; daughter Karen Baldwin (nee Prosser) (Terri Eklund) of Calgary, Alberta; and his three grandchildren, Aaron Prosser, Brendan Prosser, and Andrew Prosser, all of Calgary, Alberta.
