Obituary of Patricia Elizabeth Froslev

Patricia (Pat) Froslev, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

Patricia was born in Hutton, AB, on July 30, 1934 to Scottish immigrants, Robert and Jane Dickson.  She grew up in Bassano, AB, with her six siblings, including her twin. When Pat was of age, she made her way to Calgary, where she found work as a secretary at Toole Peet. She met her husband-to-be, Ivan Froslev, and they married on October 24, 1959.  They decided to settle in Haysboro to raise a family. When her children were grown, Pat returned to work at Heater and Company Accounting. Throughout her life, Pat enjoyed travelling. Her favourites being Hawaii and Vegas, and she loved playing the slot machines. She ventured to Paris, France in 2012 to visit her daughter and son-in-law. While there, she walked the camps Elysees on a warm spring day, sipped champagne, and enjoyed the lifestyle. Pat was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She will be missed by all.

Patricia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Garth Sloan of Okotoks, AB; son Duane Froslev of Calgary, AB; granddaughter Kayla Hungle, of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Patricia was predeceased by her husband Ivan; her sisters, Jean, Joyce and Katherine, and her brothers, Bill, Robert, and Donald (her twin).

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Those attending will be asked to confirm one of the following, (A) COVID vaccination (date requested), OR (B) a negative COVID test (within 72 hours), OR (C) Medical exemption AND valid government identification (with name & date of birth) OR (D) Under 12 years of age.
