Obituary of Anastacia Daguro

Anastacia Daguro (nee Fiesta) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the age of 75 years.

Anastacia was born in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on August 13, 1946. Anastacia married Antonio Daguro in 1965. She immigrated to Canada with her children, Edna, Romulo and Edlyn in 1991. She lived a very simple life and worked as a housekeeper. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family, especially at the park.

Anastacia is survived by her two daughters, Edna (Richard) Balicao and Edlyn (William) Balicao and son Romulo (Marlen) Daguro of Calgary, AB; and her nine grandchildren, Sheryl, Randiel, Roleen Marc, Michael, Prince Jerome, Christopher Jay, William Jr. and Jacob of Calgary, AB and Von Jerome Daguro of Manila, Philippines. Anastacia is also survived by her sister and two brothers of Sarrat, Philippines, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Anastacia was predeceased by her loving husband Antonio Daguro, parents, Silvestre and Marcelina Fiesta, and brother Turiano (Lito) Fiesta of Sarrat, Philippines.

She will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends who loved her.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Prayers and Funeral Services’ will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Those attending will be asked to confirm one of the following, (A) COVID vaccination (date requested), OR (B) a negative COVID test (within 72 hours), OR (C) Medical exemption AND valid government identification (with name & date of birth) OR (D) Under 12 years of age.
