Obituary of Robin Suzanne Laffoley

October 20, 1961 – Montreal, Quebec
November 8, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Robin Suzanne Laffoley, beloved wife of Daniel Roach of Calgary, AB, and loving mother of Simon and Victor, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the age of 60. 

Robin was born in Montreal, QC, on October 20, 1961. She spent much of her youth in Ville de Lery (Woodlands), along the shores of Lake St. Louis. She moved to Calgary, AB, in 1994. Robin matriculated at The Study School in Westmount, QC, and graduated from Queen’s University with a BA in Mathematics (1983). Robin also attended McGill University, where she obtained an MSc in Speech Language Pathology (1992). Robin was an avid tennis player and longstanding member of the Edgemont Athletic Club in Calgary.

In addition to her husband and children, Robin is survived by her sister Diana Laffoley (David Cumming) of Ville de Lery, QC, and her sister Suzanne Laffoley (David Ogilvy) of Mississauga, ON. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Olga Roach of St. Catharines, ON, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Robin was predeceased by her parents, John Laffoley and Isabel Pearce (Laffoley) of Montreal, QC, and by her father-in-law Lorne Roach of St. Catharines, ON.

Private Celebrations of Robin’s Life will be held in Calgary and Montreal at dates to be determined. Details will be made available to family and friends as they become known. Condolences, memories and photos may also be shared and viewed here.
