Condolences
On occasion, I Google people who have been a memorable part of my past, and sadly, today, I came across Ken's obituary. I realize it's been over 2 years since his passing, but I wish to send my condolences to MJ, Don, Lyndsay and the entire Samuelson family at this time.
Ken was like a father figure to me when I knew the Samuelsons in the 1980's and I was starting to lose my father to Alzheimer's. I remember sitting with MJ and Lyndsay on the couch watching Flames games and Ken would be at his studio behind us working on one of his beautiful paintings. He'd be so involved in the game that you'd swear he was playing!
Again, sorry for your loss and I'm certain he is missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.

I only just found out yesterday about the passing of Ken. He was one of my instructors at ACAD during the 90s, he was one of the kindest people I could ever meet, always helping us out and amazing us with his proficient beveled mat cutting skills too (without a straight edge no less!)
His work always was tops, so meticulous and dedicated. I wished I had that level of dedication.
Please receive my deepest condolences and know that he was admired and loved by my fellow class mates too... Especially those of us that became illustrators.
My deepest condolences to MJ, Lyndsay, Don and the whole family at this sad time. Ken was a wonderful, warm presence in my life from way back. I remember the leap of joy I felt when I would see the camper parked in front of our home in North Vancouver because it meant the Samuelsons were in town! Ken was a lovely, kind, talented man and my life is better for having had the privilege of calling him a friend. My heart goes out to all the family and friends who have lost this special man. It is with heavy heart that we send our condolences to MJ, her immediate family and grandchildren today. Although we know Ken is at peace, no more suffering, it still leaves a void in one's heart and sole. Our prayers are with you.
We will miss him very much, the great times when we ran into each other over a cup of coffee while enjoying the conversation and laughter.
His friendly smiling face will never be forgotten.
Love, Don and Wilma
