Obituary of Rosalie Louise Beauvais (nee Gomulczak)

May 13, 1962 - Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
November 11, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that the family of Rosalie Beauvais, announces her passing on Thursday, November 11th, 2021.

Rosalie was born in Prince Albert, SK, on May 13th, 1962, the third of five children to Stanley and Mary Gomulczak. She and her family lived on their farm in Prince Albert until she moved to Calgary, AB, in 1981. The following year she met her beloved husband Roy Beauvais, and although she played hard to get at the beginning, they fell in love and got married on June 30th, 1984. Along with Roy’s daughter Melisa, they had Ryan (1988) and, as per request by Ryan, Randi (1997).

She spent her time surrounded by many great friends around the fire sharing laughs and stories, with bingo daubers and her crew at the bingo hall, and endless time in the backyard with her family, her dog Ditto, the birds and all the other critters. Her big heart and generosity to those she met throughout her life, serves as an excellent lesson for the rest of us to follow. After many years of cherishing her Polish heritage, Rosalie and her sisters travelled to Poland in 2015 on a dream vacation. She met many family members, explored the culture and all of the delicious polish food she could eat.

In her life, she found joy in bringing all the people in her life together; Grey Cup’s, birthday parties, anything for having all the ones she loved in the same room.

Rosalie is survived by her husband Roy, daughter Randi and stepdaughter Melisa, her four siblings, Stephanie (Reg), Carol (Jim), Valerie and Tom; and her many cousins, nieces and nephews that are too many to mention but loved all the same. She was predeceased by her son Ryan and her parents, Stanley and Mary.

In lieu of gifts and flowers, the family requests any donations to be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society, www.calgaryhumane.ca/donate. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

In living memory of Rosalie Beauvais, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, CALGARY, AB T2E 2V6, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
