Condolences
Just read of this tragic accident.
Keith & I served on HMCS Preserver in the 1970's.
My wife & I just moved from BC to Red Deer in September, 2021 and discovered, in October, that Keith was in Calgary; planned on a surprise visit in the Spring. Unfortunately & very sadly our meeting will never take place.
Very warm memories of "My Shipmate".
I've known Keith for many years, through the Poppy Committee with the Legion. He we the most caring man, I know. I didn't know Edna but from what I've heard they were the most caring couple, who loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Keith you were a solider and a fighter. You will be dearly missed the both you. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them. Rest peacefully
To the Ashmead family:
We extend our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the family on the tragic loss of our Comrades Keith and Edna. Keith was a dear friend, a longtime member and dedicated volunteer of our Branch and his presence will be sadly missed by many. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

David and I are so very sad to hear this news about your sister, Alma. Such a hard thing to hear about a sibling and spouse. Stay strong. They will always be with you from afar. Take care and love each minute of your life because you never know what tomorrow will bring. Sending our sincere condolences. Marilyn and David Jones
