Obituary of Ed Martynuik

December 5, 1943 – Vegreville, Alberta

November 12, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

 

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Ed Martynuik on Friday, November 12, 2021.

 

Ed will be remembered for his love for his family, as his family was very important to him. Ed had a passion for wood working and tools. He had a gadget for everything and could fix anything. He was a true handyman. He enjoyed time putting around in his garage and repairing things. In his early days he was a talented mechanic, which grew his love of all thing cars and trains. He was a Ford man. Ed was a skilled salesman of tractors and wood working tools. He was a gifted woodworker and artist. Ed loved music and dancing, especially country music and a good polka. He had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and growing his grass just perfect. We will miss him very much.

 

Ed is survived by his wife Susan; two daughters Shari (Mike) and Patricia (Jason); two stepdaughters Tracey (Mark) and Laurie (Brian); nine grandchildren, Maddie, Kellan, Ella, Aiden, Helaina, Taylor, Sydney, Austin, and Sierra. Ed is also survived by his sister Elsie and brother Cliff and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. One dear friend who is left mourning, as he was like a brother to Ed, is his best friend Joe Palkovic. Ed was predeceased by his first wife Zenona, daughter Lisa, and his parents Besse and Mike.
