Obituary of Esther Loftus

Esther Loftus of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the age of 89 years.

Esther was born in Belfast, Ireland on March 27, 1932. Esther married George Loftus and they shared 50 beautiful years together. She enjoyed bingo, reading, and watching old movies. She had a love for the National Enquirer and TeaTime. Esther accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of being a grandmother to her amazing grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be most remembered for being a loving mother.

Esther is survived by her three sons and two daughters-in-law, Steven and Dorothy Loftus of Calgary, AB, Bill and Angela Loftus of Fort St. John, BC, and Wayne Loftus of Calgary, AB; five grandchildren, Geoffrey, Shawn, Matthew, Colin, and Ryan; and three great-grandchildren, Alivia, Ayden, and Aliana. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Kayes of Bancroft, ON, and sister Iris Perham of Boston, MA. Esther was predeceased by her loving husband George, mother Lily E Kayes (nee Millar), father Albert Kayes, brother George Kayes, sister Greta Kayes, and granddaughter Nicole.
