Krista Katrusik of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the age of 51 years.

Krista was born in Calgary, AB on October 1, 1970. She graduated from Lord Beaverbrook Highschool. She volunteered with the pop-culture fan convention Comi Con. Krista accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her artwork. Krista was an avid Calgary Flames and Stampeders fan. She was very into craft’s especially crochet, knitting, and cross stitching. Krista enjoyed anything to do with computers. Krista’s most memorable vacation was going to Disneyland when she was eleven.

Krista is survived by her parents, Nola Katrusik and Terry Ralph of Calgary AB, as well as her cat Sugar Plum. She is also survived by her extended family, Kelly and Sandra Backman and their family, Gary and Phyllis Katrusik and their family, Nobby Katrusiak family, Ed and Janet Katrusik; as well as numerous special aunts, uncles, and cousins.  

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.  Those attending will be asked to provide valid government identification (with name and date of birth) AND confirm one of the following: (A)Provincial vaccine record with QR code (paper or digital); OR (B)negative COVID test (within 72 hours); or (C)valid medical exemption (signed letter); OR (D)under 12 years of age. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Miss Katrusik's service streamed live below on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
