Obituary of William Thomas Dale

March 23, 1939 – St. Boniface, Manitoba

November 15, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

William (Bill) Thomas Dale of Calgary, AB passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 15, 2021 at the age of 82 years.

Bill was born on March 23, 1939 in St Boniface, Manitoba; the son of the late Mary and Bill Dale. He grew up loving the outdoors, fishing and exploring with a side of mischief.

Bill spent much of his career in the Banking and Trust industry throughout Western Canada. Later in life he followed his passion of working with his hands in the Home Renovation and Construction field. Bill enjoyed helping others build and repair all things, painting, collecting coins, reading, playing crib, cross word puzzles and the outdoors.

The most important thing in Bill’s life was his family and he will be lovingly remembered by them for the twinkle in his eye and his wickedly dry sense of humor. Although we will dearly miss him, his humor and his unconditional love; we take consolation in our lifetime of memories.

Bill was married to the love of his life, Ann, for 46 years prior to her passing. He is survived by his children, Leslie (Gary), Gordon (Assunta) and Jillian. Papa Bill will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren whom he adored, Laura (Jasica), Leah (Luke), Alex, Sam, Laine, Claire and Cade. Bill is also survived by his sister Marilyn, brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Marlene, and many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was predeceased by his son-in-law David.

The family will have a private event celebrating his life at a later date. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
