Doris McDougall of Calgary, AB passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the age of 92 years.

Doris was born in Crossfield, AB on June 17, 1929. Doris attended school in Madden and Crossfield. She was an accomplished artist who shared her love of painting by creating beautiful pieces for her home and her family and friends. In 1947 Doris moved to Calgary. She is predeceased by her first husband, Gerald McDougall who she married that year. They were blessed with four boys, Dale (Linda), Wayne (Sandy), Randy and Bradley (Luz). Doris loved all of her grandchildren, Terri-Ann (Daryl), Jason, Sasha (Evan), Mark (Mary-Lou), Jim and Michelle.  She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren. In 1976 Doris married her second husband, Leslie McDougall who passed away in 2015. Doris was proud of her stepchildren; Barry, Tammy (Mike), and Ron (Lana) as well as her five step-grandchildren. Doris’ life was filled with adventure, travel and she enjoyed winning Shuffleboard, Bocce and many card games with her friends and family. Doris worked in housekeeping at the Calgary General Hospital throughout the 70s and 80s. She loved sewing, gardening, art and reading. Doris is well known for her amazing baking skills. Doris is remembered for her fierce competitive spirit, her infectious laugh, and her indomitable nature. She brought joy and great humour to all who knew and loved her. She is deeply missed.

Doris is survived by her two sisters, Beverley and Carol of Airdrie, AB and dozens of nieces and nephews who adored her. Doris was predeceased by her mother and father, Pearl and Carl Tronnes; her brother Allan; her sister Delphine; her first husband, Gerald McDougall; her second husband, Leslie McDougall; her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Linda; her daughter-in-law, Sandy; as well as her infant son, Owen.

A small, closed Funeral Service will be held for immediate family. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that you join them in a Celebration of Life for Doris to be held at a later date. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
