November 22, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Parker Davis, beloved husband of Daphnie “Duffy” Davis (née Bannerman).

Bill was a man of integrity, keen intellect, a kind heart, and a witty sense of humour. He was the first to be there in time of need and provided sage advice and support. After high school Bill moved to Calgary to pursue a career as a chartered accountant and retired as a partner with Price Waterhouse. He was elected president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and was awarded the FCA designation, the highest honour bestowed on a CA. He was community minded and donated his time to various charitable organizations including Heritage Park, Desert Island Golf Course and Alberta Adolescent Recovery Centre.

While working in Calgary Bill met Duffy, they married, had four children and sixty-seven wonderful years together. Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed the camaraderie of the game developing many lifelong friendships. He also enjoyed sailing; was a tremendous handyman, woodworker and model shipbuilder. He had many travel adventures with family and created places for family to commune together and build memories.

He was a wonderful man, and his legacy and memory will be cherished and kept alive by Duffy, Donna Evans (Rod), Jeff Davis (Rowena), and Gail Chase (Keith);  grandchildren, Mike (Kim), Doug (Kayla), Rob, Matt, Raine, Blaze; and great-grandchildren, Noa, Hazel and Kaitlyn; sister Bette Browne (Carl) and their offspring, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. William was predeceased by his youngest son, Robert.

A private Funeral Service will be held.
