Condolences
Dearest family of Maxine and William Deschamps,
Even though I didn't know Maxine and William well, (since I was closest to "the twins"), I still have a memory of Maxine which has been planted in my mind ever since I was a youngster in grade school. You see, Maxine and I played the accordion, which wasn't the most popular instrument of the day, but nonetheless, it taught us the keyboard, and everything else we were to know about music.
We had formed a little group in the Calgary Conservatory of Music, to which all these accordions could play songs from the "Sound of Music". Under Gus Pfiffig's leadership, we learned to play all levels of music, and the drums were in the background. There was one woman who stood out, since she was in the first level of the accordion band, (and I was in the second.) She was very nice, and very gentle, and she played so well. I believe that Maxine would have learned her lessons early, and that from this simple observation, she was a very diligent and proud accordion player. And our group leader was very proud of her talents.
Maxine, if you would have stood out in such an endeavor, you would have stood out all of your life. You were exceptional in all facets of family, and work life.
This planet will truly miss your presence. And God will always remember you with kindness and a gentle heart.
Love,
Claudia
Jo and Sandi I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom and dad. Mom and I worked in Calgary Co-op at Strathmore Cafeteris for a number of years. Our anniversary and there's was close together as it was hers and my birthday. It was always nice to be able to celebrate. Sincere condolences.
We have known Bill & Maxine for approximately 20 years and have enjoyed their company at the cabin ours being next door to theirs. They liked nothing better than taking their morning coffee out to the bench by the firepit and watching the squirrels and birds coming to the feeding station they had set up. I know Max had given some of the squirrels names as well as a couple of ravens that came often. I also know the birds and animals will miss them and the food they provided as much as we miss them.
Very glad to have know them for the time they were here, May they both rest in peace.
Our sincere sympathy to the family.
Ann & Horace Swift
We send our deepest sympathy for the loss of Bill and Max, they were great neighbours and friends.
May they find peace in each other arms.

I will always remember my brother Billy, for his kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness, always willing to help out friend, a neighbor or family member.
I prayed to God and asked him if he could build a beautiful cabin in Heaven, for Bill and Max. A cabin with a front deck and a swing, surrounded by a forest of endless green trees, beautiful blue skies, overlooking a clear majestic lake full of fish of every kind with beautiful wildlife everywhere. A cabin where they can rest and be at peace forever.
I love you Bill. ❤️
Rest In Peace Bill and Max
Your Sister Shirley
My earliest memory of Billy was in the '60's when him & his brother Larry would come to the farm to stack hay bales for Uncle Oliver Deschamps. Their auntie Viv would always make sure the boys were well fed & cared for. A lot of antics occurred, Dad (Oliver) loved to b.s. the boys, most times they would know better...because after all.....their dad, Rene had paved the road with b.s.! They were great kids & the family always looked forward to seeing them come, 1st cutting & 2nd cutting! Hard working boys!
Joe & Sandi, our deepest sympathy from your dad's 1st cousins,
Sheila (Allan), Vicky (Bob), Bobby (Darlene), Brent (Shauna) and Brad (Kelly) - the Patricia bunch
