Obituary of Francis Xavior Lambertus

December 2, 1943 -Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

November 30, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

Francis (Frank) Lambertus, beloved husband of Heather Lambertus (nee Crowe) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the age of 77 years.

Frank was born in Moose Jaw, SK, on December 2, 1943. His family moved to Prince Albert, SK, where Frank married Heather in 1964. They moved to Calgary with their daughters Cheryle and Shirley in 1970. Calgary is where they called home to raise their family. He was a member of the Calgary Ambassadors CB Radio Club and created a Coffee Club, volunteering within the community and organizing family events. Frank accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his daughters, their husbands, and his grandchildren; never forgetting his furry buddy Chase, who was always by his side. Frank loved and had a passion for Christmas. He enjoyed gathering family and friends together with music, dancing, plenty of food, and a whole lot of drinks, filling the room with joy and laughter. Frank’s most memorable vacation was when the whole family went on a cruise and to Disneyland. He would indulge in every experience possible, enjoying each moment to its fullest. One of his favorite sayings was “It is only money, you can't take it with you.” Oh… and some others that shouldn’t be mentioned. He will be most remembered for his carefree demeanor.

Besides his loving wife, Frank is survived by his two daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryle and Shaun Langley of Calgary, Shirley and Kevin Mundell of Calgary; his five grandchildren, Mathew Langley (Graham Schroeder), Travis Langley (Brianne Self), Amber Langley (Mark Kyswaty), Kyle Mundell (Shae Rotteau), Colin Mundell (Mackenzie Mundell); and his two great-grandchildren, Caeden and Jameson, all of Calgary. Frank was predeceased by parents Charles Frank and Annie Veronica Lambertus.

A Graveside Service will be held at Prairie Sky Cemetery (12800 100 St SE, Calgary, AB, T1X 0K7) on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 2:00 pm. Those attending will be asked to provide valid government identification (with name and date of birth) AND confirm one of the following: (A)Provincial vaccine record with QR code (paper or digital); OR (B)negative COVID test (within 72 hours); or (C)valid medical exemption (signed letter); OR (D)under 12 years of age.
