Obituary of Eleanor Margaret Milliken (nee Borbridge)

August 26, 1932 – Crossfield, Alberta

December 2, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Eleanor Margaret Milliken (née Borbridge), of Calgary, AB, at her home on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the age of 89 years.

Eleanor was born in Crossfield, AB on August 26, 1932, to Margaret (Lyon) and Kenneth “Ken” Borbridge. She was an awesome listener and a pillar of strength for those who needed her.  Her family, dear friends and the world will miss Eleanor’s joyous laughter and lively, loving presence. When you see butterflies, pansies and little birds please hold Eleanor in your heart.

Eleanor is survived by her husband Walter “Ed”; son Bryan (Rita) Milliken, daughters, Kendra (Ian) Munro and Kolese (Ken) Melton. She is also survived by her brother, Donald “Don” Borbridge; grandchildren, Joshua Baddeley, Jessica “Kolese” Baddeley, Cole Young, Quinlyn Melton, and Hayden Melton; and great-granddaughter Anadella Baddeley. Eleanor was predeceased by her sister Norma Lazaruk. 

A private Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Due to COVID restrictions, in person attendance will be limited to family.
