Obituary of Albert Heinrich Brethauer

Albert Brethauer, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

Albert was born in Kassel, Germany on October 7, 1934. He was from a large family with three brothers and four sisters. In 1960, Albert met and married Faye and they started their family. Albert’s biggest achievement was when he obtained his license and started his driving career, beginning with the Royal Mail. Albert’s ambition was to drive a bigger truck and this opportunity came in the form of B-Line Express Ltd. Many trips and many miles earned Albert numerous safe driver and ace driver awards and one million accident-free miles on the same truck! He came off the highway and drove in the city for Versa Cold until his retirement in 1999. Albert loved to dance and garden and had a huge passion for working on cars; he spent countless hours in the garage.

Albert is survived by his son David and daughter-in-law Jodi of Calgary, AB. Albert was predeceased by his wife Faye on July 10, 2000.
