Condolences
Melanie, Debbie, Don and Family:
I am so sorry to hear of Auntie Clara's passing. I remember spending part of my summers in Calgary with you. Such great memories. I remember her gentle ways, her kindness, her smile and her laughter. She was one of a kind.
Love and hugs to you all,
Bonnie Erman (Flaig)
My condolences to her whole family. I have many fond memories of Clara, particularly of her time at the Fanning Centre. Sharon and I spent many days and hours with Clara and although it was a hard time for her, the affects from her stroke and the physio therapy sessions etc, really shared many many laughs. I’m so sad to hear of her passing. She for sure has a huge place in my heart. Praying you feel Gods’ presence always.
Love,
Lori Galiardi
I wrote a poem called Clara on Oct.6, 2009
Her hair now white, soft and few,
She still can’t say those words to you.
Her tears speak loudly that she tried
To keep those feelings locked inside
All those things left unsaid
Remaining quiet in her head.
She lays there seemingly in control
With eyes like windows to her soul
She stares, tears stream down her face,
Silently awaiting your embrace.
Hold her
Love her
Show her
how
Forget
Forgive
The past
Now
Her hands speak of the life she lived.
Your eyes speak of the love you give.
Look at her in such a way,
Let her see what she can’t say.
(I sure loved her and always will)
To Don, Debbie, Melanie and family, my heart goes out to you…it is so hard to lose someone, particularly your mom. They always seem to be the one person who is the “glue” of the family.
When I think of Auntie Clara, I hear her laugh, and see those sparkly eyes and huge smile. She was a wonderful auntie to us, and will always have fond memories of her.
My sympathies….
Patty Doig
