Obituary of Mali Hersh

January 30, 1922 - Bucharest, Romania

December 7, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Mali Hersh on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Shlomo Hersh.

She will be lovingly and deeply missed by her only daughter Hana (Gavriel); her granddaughter, Tali; grandson, Erez (Laurie) and by her great-grandchildren Sarah, Isaac, Jake, Adora and Dov, along with numerous nieces and nephews in Israel and elsewhere.

Mom’s life was defined by her profound love for her family, Jewish faith, and connection to Israel, to which she contributed in her younger years. She also took great joy in residing in Canada near her children.

Her strength and perseverance was an inspiration to us all.

A private graveside service will be held at the Erlton Jewish Cemetery (Corner of Erlton Street & 30 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB).

We wish to thank Dr. Adina Constantinescu for looking after Mom with much dedication and kindness and to the entire staff at Chinook Care Centre for their wonderful support and care all along.
