Condolences
A last farewell from family and friends in Norway.
My sincere condolences to Brian and Carol and their families. I met Marlene in 1976 through the youth choir that she conducted for several years. Little did I know at the time, that we would become life-long friends. Not just "friends" but she became my "sister by heart". So many precious memories.... laughter, tears, travels, going out for lunch, shopping, choir rehearsals and touring, baking and eating lefse,, lutefisk, and our weddings. Marlene was so much fun to be around. She was so smart, witty, talented, precious, honest and true. I will always remember her beautiful voice. Despite her suffering and pain in the last few years and especially last couple months, Marlene never lost her faith in God. She was looking forward to being with Jesus. She will be in my heart forever and I look forward to seeing her again one day on that beautiful shore.

My condolences to Marlene’s family and close friends. I remember Marlene as being very generous with her time. When I was in university, I was working 3/4 part time, had two exams and a major paper due. I was definitely feeling stressed. Marlene volunteered to take my paper to her place of work and type it up on the new word processor at her break. It was done in no time and was the best looking paper I ever turned in. I remember too all the times we spent visiting with her mom. Those were times of great blessing. Brenda( Larkins) Petzold
