Obituary of Kathleen Florence Kipke

November 11, 1949 – Dauphin, Manitoba

December 12, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Kathleen Florence Kipke, beloved wife of Julius Kipke of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the age of 72 years.

 

Kathleen was born in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada, on November 11, 1949, and she moved with her parents to Churchill, Manitoba in 1951.  In 1964 Kathleen and her mom Frances moved to Regina, Saskatchewan; and then in the fall of 1964 Kathleen and her mom moved to Calgary, Alberta.

 

Kathleen married Julius Kipke in 1965, and she was a member of the Eastern Star North Star #24.

 

Kathleen accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She really enjoyed and loved family time.

 

Kathleen’s most memorable vacation was the river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam in 2015.

 

Kathleen’s favourite saying was “whatever. I love it”. She will be most remembered for her happy get together’ s at Christmas and New Years with the family.

 

Besides her loving husband Julius Kipke; Kathleen is survived by two daughters, Sheila Briggs (Rod Briggs) of Calgary, Alberta and Linda Favelle (Brett Kober) of Calgary, Alberta; four grandchildren, Devin Kipke-Briggs of Ontario, Meagan Briggs of Calgary, Emilie Favelle of Calgary and Serina Favelle of Calgary; and seven great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Reyleigh, and Ryker of Calgary, Athena of Calgary, Jarryn and Jayten of Calgary and Fraya from Ontario.  

 

Kathleen is also survived by her sister Barbara Fink of St. Albert, Alberta; her brother Reg Wynes and sister-in-law Carolyn Wynes of New Brunswick; sister-in-law Wilma Schoeder of Germany, Agnus Kipke of Germany and sister-in-law Helga Kipke of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Kathleen was predeceased by parents Reginald Wynes and Frances Wynes; and her brother John  Wynes.
