Condolences
So sorry to hear of Margaret passing, I knew her and all the Payne children from when I went to St Mary Magdelens in Penwortham, they were a lovely family. How are the other 3 children? Tim, Bunty and Louise? I'm just assuming they're not in Canada. My thoughts are with you all.
Louie was my grandma, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I will miss taking my family to visit her. I will remember her quick wit and her never ending bibliography of rhymes and sayings. As a boy, my grandma would take me for stampede breakfasts on Stephen Ave and $1 blizzards at Dairy Queen (the $1 went to charity). Simple outings but so much fun. We had fun going to the mountains on occasion too. Often, I would have my ski gear laid down the middle from one end to the other of her Plymouth Horizon, barely doing the speed limit. It must have been quite a site seeing that little car with a grandma behind the wheel going across the switchbacks on the way up to Norquay.
I am so grateful to have many many fond memories and grateful that my family will have some too.
RIP Grandma, thank you for everything, love you.
Chris
