Condolences
Hello Joan. I m so sorry to hear about Hal. He was such a nice man. He loved playing his guitar in his hangar with myself and Greg and Miles. We had some fun evenings
I hope that he is with Ron in heaven chatting about planes and everything aviation related. So many years together Joan
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hal will be sadly missed as a friend, a flying companion to $100 breakfast fly-ins and a great neighbor. Many hours were spent leaning on the fence exchanging flying stories until our wives called us for supper. Our condolences go out to Joan, Doug and Jules and their families.
Blue skies Hal,
John & Eileen
What a loss of an incredible man. Hal was simply the best.
My condolences to his family and friends.
I'm certain that Hal is soaring and flying to all those places he missed.
Keep up the airspeed!
I'll miss you.
To the Rainforth Family
My heart is broken. Hal was such a great friend. We met at TECH school taking aircraft maintenance in 1961 and from the first day we met we became best friends for life. There are so many great memories over the years from flying model aircraft to fixing and flying real aircraft. Oh yes in between we even had some time to party. It was not just Hal and I because our families also enjoyed much of the same things such as farm life with horses, dogs. camping and great food. I could go on all day telling stories of the great times we and our family's had and I never will forget my old buddy Hal. I am sure going to miss you.
Until we meet again.

Dear Joan, Doug, Jules & family.
I am so very sorry to hear of Hal's passing. He was such a kind, smart and compassionate human being. A person that I am forever grateful to have known. His love of flying was only overshadowed by his love for each of you.
My sincerest condolences.
Dear Joan and families,

All I can say now is that I've lost a good friend. We all know how generous and kind he was and the world is poorer without him.
So sorry about Hal's passing. As aviators and former MAF missionaries, Hal was very supportive and had a big influence on our journey. May the Lord bring you Peace. We praise God that we were able to know him.

Dear Joan, Doug, Julie and your Families. We were saddened Joan, on Wednesday evening, to hear the announcement from you of Harold's sudden death. The timing would not have been of Harold's choice, but as we all know, time waits for no one. We want to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to you, Joan, and to all the Family. Although no mere words can take away the loss or sorrow, hopefully the passage of time will lessen your pain. May the memories you have of Harold, and all those special times you shared together as a family over the years, be of comfort and consolation to you now, and in the days ahead.
We have known, and will always remember Harold with fondness, starting from the day of your wedding, Joan. He always had such a warm smile, and was a most congenial and hospitable host on many happy occasions, that we enjoyed as guests in your lovely home.
We share your grief, and our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God grant you His peace! Also, we have the blessed assurance of Jesus himself, found in Scripture [Matthew 5:4] when He said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted".
Sincerely, with our Love, Marj and Cliff Fiesel,
Calgary, Alberta.
So sad to heart of Hal's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him in various aviation organizations of which he was a great supporter. He also served the Alberta Aviation Council as President and director. He was always available to talk aviation and reminisce about flying. His cheerful and down to earth personality will be sorely missed.

I really enjoyed serving on the Mission Aviation Fellowship Board of Directors with Hal for a number of years. He always had a big smile on his face and offered solid practical advice and always from a Christian worldview. Great guy who served the Lord’s kingdom well!
Hal was such a kind, gracious and humble man. I had the privilege of partnering with him on various projects for the organization I work with MAF Canada. Hal was a key Board Member for a number of years with us. He was so valued and appreciated. His kindness and humility were always evident and encouraging to so many. Heaven has gained a truly joyous spirit. He will be missed here.
“Little” Harold will be sorely missed by our entire family. Especially that glint in his eye, that let you know he was up to something, and his laugh. His fun loving nature and sense of adventure will never be forgotten. My sincere condolences
Debbie
So sorry to hear of Harold's passing. We were close friends many years ago meeting at Crescent Heights Baptist Church and us both attending SAIT at the same time with training for our professions.
So much time together with our wives and families but also flying in both private and commercial planes.
We will cherish all of the many memories.
Rest in peace buddy.
Thinking of Joan and family as you grieve the loss. There is comfort in knowing he is in a better place.
Sincerely
Harley Sanders
Papa, you had the biggest, kindest heart. And you loved all your family and grandchildren more than we ever could imagine. I have so many fond memories of you. I will miss going down to get you from your office whenever I come over. I will miss hearing your voice, your big bear hugs and kisses on the cheek. I miss you already. You are so loved, and always will be.
Thank you for everything you have taught me, everything you have shared with me, and all the love you have given me since I was born.
I love you.
