Obituary of Marian Evelyn Lalonde

March 1, 1939 - Montreal, Quebec

December 20, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sadness that we are saying goodbye to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Marian Lalonde (nee Fretten) on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the age of 82 years.

Predeceased by the love of her life Romeo Lalonde, her parents Charles and Enid Fretten (nee Drouin), her sister Margaret Avery, and her eldest son Stephen Sauvé. She leaves to mourn her sister Dorothy, four daughters, Louise Gonsalves (Stephen), Marilyn Arsenault (Ron), Diane Theriault (Ben), and Karen Wong (Norm); her son Kenneth Sauvé (Cathy); nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her eight stepchildren. She also leaves behind her dearest friends Marlene Kontusky, Liz and Don Munro, and her beautiful fur baby Angus who she loved dearly.

A Celebration of Marian's Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. For those who are unable to attend, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
