Obituary of Rene Ransley Two Young Men
August 14, 1986 – Calgary, Alberta
December 19, 2021 – Morley, Alberta
Rene “Kuchi-bear” Two Young Men was called home by our Creator on December 19, 2021, at 4:00 a.m. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, cousin, uncle, and friend at the age of 35 years old.
Rene was born in Calgary, Alberta on August 14, 1986. He was the youngest of all his siblings, he was very friendly towards everyone, had a great personality, he was always outgoing, he loved being outside exploring nature, he enjoyed making traditional crafts. Kuchi-bear enjoyed attending traditional ceremonies, he enjoyed picking herb tea, smudge, etc., in the outdoor environment. Rene travelled across the sea towards Europe: Switzerland, Germany, and Italy. He met a rock star named Nena who sings “99 Luftballons”. He attended and graduated from Morley Community High School. Work-wise, he was employed at Walmart as a stock person and cashier, and part-time he was creating handmade traditional crafts, as well as teaching his generation to make traditional hand drums and pow wow drums.
He will be remembered by his Cardinal family from Saddle Lake and his Two Young Men family from Morley. We apologize if we have forgotten anyone. We will cherish the memories of his laughter, happiness, and the great time we have spent together. As we will continue to encourage his spirit to find his way home, by letting him rest peacefully until we meet again.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Cochrane, 369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB), on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB).
