Obituary of Eugene Magid

March 10, 1947 – Saint Petersburg, Russia
December 23, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that the family of Eugene Magid announce his passing on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the age of 74 after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born in Saint Petersburg, Eugene moved to Calgary with his loving wife Alla and their son Michael in 1979, where they started a new life together. Canada was the perfect place for Eugene to develop his career. He had a tireless dedication and devotion to his work. He loved the beautiful natural scenery surrounding Calgary. Eugene and his family would often enjoy trips to Bragg Creek, Banff, and Lake Louise together. Eugene also loved going on motorcycle trips with friends to visit scenic spots and traveling with his family overseas.

Eugene was a devoted husband and loving father, who always lived life to the fullest. He will be missed immensely by his wife of 50 years Alla, son Michael, sister Mara, brother-in-law Mark, and his extended family. Private services will be held at a later date.
