With saddened hearts the family of Elizabeth “Liz” Dwornik announce her passing on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the age of 90 years.

Liz was born in Skaro, AB (Lamont County), on September 10, 1931, to John and Katherine Lopushinsky. She married William (Bill) Dwornik in 1949. They had a daughter, Rosemarie, and a son, Arden, while in Star, AB. They owned and of operated many businesses over the years. Liz finished her working career as a cashier for AGT (now Telus). After her retirement from AGT she diligently volunteered for many organizations, events, and activities. One year she was nominated “Calgary Volunteer of the Year”. Later, she sold her home in Mayland Heights and moved into Hunting Hills Manor where she lived until her passing. Her passions were her children, family and all those who arrived on her doorstep. They were always welcomed and also well fed. Her beloved pastime was knitting and sewing. We will miss this amazing woman who gave so much of herself to those all around her.
