Obituary of Rene Bertrand Roger Mercier

Rene Mercier of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the age of 65 years.

Rene was born in Nicolet, QC on May 7, 1956, and had lived in Alberta since he was nineteen. Rene was a tile setter by trade, he owned and was the sole proprietor of Sonora Construction for many years, where he did many projects in Western Canada. He loved the mountains, entertaining friends, and was an avid gardener. 

Rene is survived by his son, Steve Drouin; two brothers and one sister all of whom still reside in Quebec. 

Rene was predeceased by his parents, Francois Mercier and Noila Pare.
