Obituary of Katherine Allen

September 15, 1926 – Odessa, Russia
December 29, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Katherine Allen on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. 

Katherine was born September 15, 1926, in Odessa, Russia to parents, John and Rose Hohenacker. The family arrived by ship in Canada in May of 1928, and continued their journey to the Delia area. Katherine married the love of her life Ted Allen in 1948, and they farmed outside Craigmyle until their retirement, and then moved to Calgary. Katherine's greatest loves were her husband, family and the farm. 

Katherine will be lovingly remembered by her children, John (Marlene), and Judy (Winfried); daughter-in-law Joanne, her last remaining sister Ann, as well as six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, youngest son Tim, and three siblings.
