Obituary of Carroll Ann Sydenham

August 1, 1945 – Montreal, Quebec

December 30, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we must inform of the passing of Carroll Ann Sydenham at Rockyview Hospital on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

Carroll’s first job was family, later in life, she started working at Birks with her mother, Doris. She studied and graduated from Mount Royal College with Honors in Early Childhood Education. Carroll was well liked and respected by parents and fellow staff at both Cancare Daycare and the Louise Dean Centre. Carroll could be seen, larger than life, at garage sales around her neighborhood as well as volunteering at the Special Olympics and the Calgary Humane Society with her daughter, Belinda.

Carroll is survived by her children, Mike, Leanne, and Belinda Sydenham; siblings, Bill, Brian, and Gail; grandchildren, Victoria and David; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Arya; as well as many sisters, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. Carroll was predeceased by her husband Brian Sydenham, and her parents, Doris and Henry Passineau.

Carroll will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Public Ceremony will be will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Carroll Ann Sydenham will be laid to rest with her grandparents, Henry and Dorothy Wood, and mother Doris Passineau (nee Wood) at the Cimetière Notre-Dame du Très-Saint-Rosaire (2091 Rue Laprade, Mascouche, QC, Canada. Tel# 450 477-5512). A small graveside service will be held for any who wish to attend. Details to be announced later for the date and time with the appreciated assistance of Bobby and Nicole Wood
