Obituary of Meghan Alyssa O'Shea

November 16, 1999 – January 2, 2022

Calgary, Alberta

Meghan O’Shea, beloved daughter of Janice and Charles O’Shea of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the age of 22 years.

Meghan was born in Calgary, AB, on November 16, 1999.  She loved snuggling with her dog Dozer, hanging out with her friends and sister, making rap videos, having spa days, and just being silly and having fun. Her favorite pastime was watching reality TV and snacking on junk food. Meghan’s most memorable vacation was when she was seventeen years old, and we went to Seattle/Oregon on vacation. Our bikes were destroyed since they fell off of the back of the vehicle. Despite the rocky beginning to our trip, we all bonded and had a great memorable family trip.  Meghan will be most remembered for her smile and her laugh. She could easily strike a conversation with anybody.

Meghan is survived by her sister Arielle O’Shea of Calgary, AB; her grandparents Sylvia & Peter Lowe of Calgary, AB, and her grandmother Margo Shea of Toronto, ON; her aunts and uncles, Shirley Lowe, Brian & Kelli Lowe, Grace & Rob Chiu, Mike & Lynnette Shea of Kelowna, BC, and Julia Barriault of Sudbury, ON; cousins Taylor & Cole Chiu of Calgary, AB, Caitlin Bobolo of Victoria, BC, and Cherie Barriault of Calgary, AB; as well as various other relatives that Meghan loved. Meghan was predeceased by her grandmother Muriel Shea of Calgary, AB, and her dog Dozer.

The day you left it broke my heart

Not just a crack it broke in two…

Filled with love just for you.

That love’s not gone kept safe inside…

But when you left part of me died.

I want to remember the bond we share…

But the pain in my heart is so hard to bear.

I miss you so much, everyday…

And love you much more than words, could ever say.
