Obituary of Doris Williammena Bee (nee Purves)

Doris Bee of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the age of 95 years.

Doris was the light in everyone’s life. She was the eldest child of Hugh and Amanda Purves. Her four brothers were Alan, Orval, Morris and Stanley, all growing up in Milestone, SK.

Doris married William (Bill). They had three children together, Wayne, Marlene and John. She enjoyed people; being in the choir, volunteering for the Cornel Belcher just to visit people who may or may not get visitors. She loved sports and enjoyed going to Calgary Stampeders game and Flames Games. She also enjoyed cooking and baking much of which was with her daughter and hosting gatherings for people. At some of these gatherings playing guitar with her brother Stan. In short, she found joy and happiness and spread it to everyone she met.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing - 2 Timothy 4:7
