Obituary of John Frederick Herman Tiedemann

July 26, 1969 - January 18, 2022

John Tiedemann of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the age of 52 years.

John was born in Calgary, AB, on July 26, 1969. Growing up in Calgary, he attended Penbrooke Meadows Elementary, GW Skene Elementary, Ernest Morrow Jr High, and Forest Lawn High.

John discovered his love of cooking and worked at many golf courses and restaurants in and around Calgary. He enjoyed fast cars, and cruising through the city on his gas-powered bicycle; way before electric bikes were popular.  He enjoyed his miniature trains, creating entire towns and villages, along with sculpting fantastic legendary creatures like dragons. He loved to share past glories of all his wild adventures with his friends and family.

John is survived by his two daughters Danyela Wilson of Calgary, AB, and Mellissa Moquin of Winnipeg, MB;  three grandchildren, Ayden, Wynter, and Mia; and a new grandbaby on the way this spring. John is also survived by his two sisters, Denise Allibone and Shirley Overend (Alan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. John was predeceased by parents Marvin and Geraldine Tiedemann; and sisters Pat Snyder and Susan Godwin. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
